The insulation is built into these modular wall panels, and the oriented strand board will not warp or bend like traditional timbers. These interlocking panels create a modular home that is strong and energy efficient.

The modular home panels have other features that make assembly from a kit possible. The electrical chases and connections are built into each panel. Cutouts and knockouts for pipes or other wires are pre-installed or can be easily added with ordinary power tools. The sandwich construction of the strand boards and form core are like a giant I-beam, adding structural integrity. Each panel measures 4 feet by 8 feet, and weighs about 125 pounds. Not everyone chooses the challenge of building an entire modular home from a kit. If you do try it, you can always ask the manufacturer for help if you have problems. This will cost extra, though.
